Do you ever feel as if you were created for more?  Created for something bigger than just you? Have you ever wanted to help people?  I think we were all created with the want for something “more.”

That is our purpose in Jesus.

While reading in the book of John I find myself stuck in John 1:43-48. This is the 4th day of John's eye witness account of Jesus' time on Earth. We find Jesus on His way through Galilee:

The next day He purposed to go into Galilee, and He *found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46 Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip *said to him, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”48 Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

I literally can't leave this passage right now! Jesus planned to go to Galilee where He finds and calls Philip into ministry, THEN Philip found Nathanael.

Everyday when our feet hit the floor we, as Jesus' followers must purpose in our hearts to stand out and be different, giving a voice to hope and salvation. Jesus calls Philip, but what I love is that it doesn't stop there, oh no.  Philip goes and finds Nathanael. Jesus lets Nathanael know in v. 48 "When you were under that fig tree, I saw you." From there, Nathanael was sold on Jesus and who He was and what He was doing.

Before Jesus found me, I was lost and in need of love. Jesus met me there just like He did Nathaniel…doubts and all. I appreciate that we don’t have to have it all together to be used by God. He desires to use us right where we are at. For some of us that is in our homes, our jobs, or in our high school locker rooms. When was the last time we took a risk in our conversations with people and shared about the hope we have found? Jesus loves each and every person in this world. We have a purpose WAY bigger than just going throughout our day. We have a chance to be a part of saving souls!

We have people in our direct sphere of influence and on social media! What are we doing to influence, encourage and reach them for Jesus? Who knows what someone that you lead to Jesus will turn around and do for Him! The reach is great. But, we have to purpose in our heart to do something! This passage gets me excited about leaving my house today! Jesus has been and will always be the solution- people need help and answers, let's give them the solution-- JESUS.

When I was 18, I found myself at a cross point in life. I was at the bottom of the barrel in life and I needed to climb out, I just didn't know how. I was finally faced with the reality of myself...broken, alone, crazy, hopeless, and addicted to more than I was willing to admit. I needed saving and I had found my Savior. I surrendered all of myself, even the parts of me I wanted to hold onto so tight, I knew in order to have the life I wanted I was going to have to give God permission to in-vade every part of my life.

Fast forward to today, I am married to the most amazing man ever, he is my rock and my hero, we have two incredible twin boys, Bryce and Karson. I have been able to share with so many people about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, His goodness and love for us. I am passionate about this next generation and seeing girls of all ages fulfill the call God has on their lives.
